The usual September weather hit us. Clouds, rain, and just plain dreary. As a photographer, I go to weddings with all these shots I want to get pictured in my head. Then you show up the day of and BAM it all changes due to weather.
Kim and Joe were getting married at Maple Leaf Events in Stevenson, WA. We had checked out the venue the weekend before, figured out what shots would be great, and laid out the attack plan.
The day of, I met the bride at the house they had rented to get ready in while Leslie headed to the venue to get the guys and the details.
Lots of things were going on when I got to the house, that gave me time to steal a few of the details like rings, shoes, and the dress to get some of the dreamy details that all brides want!
After everyone was ready, we drove to the venue and captured the ceremony and reception, all while it was down pouring. The original plan had been an outside wedding, but the venue also has this awesome event center that we moved everything into. As night fell, the rain died off and we got them outside for some fun shots with flash. Those shots landed us as a feature in Huffington Post!
We had a wonderful time with Kim and Joe and hope that they like a lifetime of the bliss that they showed each other at their wedding!
