A Family Portrait Session with the Zadaks.

Vancouver wa wedding photographer

The wintertime can be tricky here, especially to keep everybody happy for their family portraits. In the past few years, I have been lucky to have access to a little spot in the Academy in downtown Vancouver, WA. That little spot came in handy when the Zadaks wanted a fun session, without being wet and cold.

And their little girl’s personality filled the whole room plus some! In the beginning, it was all about her, I even dropped down the pink backdrop to make sure to capture what she loved. But with most little ones, the interest dropped towards the end and I could barely get her to sit still for a sweet portrait. It came down to bribing her with toys and candybut I think that works for all ages.

This session would be one of my last in the studio located in the Academy building. My lease has come up, and after going through all my overhead and fun business stuff, I have decided to let it go. I may be shot sessions in there 2-3 times a year, and most of you amazing clients want to meet me for coffee or drinks. So in order to keep my rates affordable, I no longer am located there as of January 31st, 2019. That does not mean that you can’t schedule a studio session with me. Over the last few years I have helped build an amazing group of photographers around me and have access to studios when needed! I love community over competiton.
