Sophie | Ridgefield Class of 2027 Lewisville Park Sophie | Ridgefield Class of 2027 Lewisville Park is where Sophie and her family have spent many years, so of course we went there. Traveling down the tree-lined trails, walking along the river, and capturing Sophie's light at this point in her life. Celia | Ridgefield Class of 2027 You NEVER have t Celia | Ridgefield Class of 2027 You NEVER have to apologize for bringing your dog along, especially if he’s big, fluffy, and I get to pet him. You will have to apologize if you tell me you have a dog, but you didn’t bring him along. Koda accompanied us around Moulton Falls last night as the sun set, giving us the perfect light to capture Celia at this giant moment in her life. As a mom of a now-graduated senior, things go by so fast, so make sure that you stop and capture these times when you can.
If you have a session with me, you’ll realize pret If you have a session with me, you’ll realize pretty quickly that I have ADD. I think it's actually a prerequisite to become a photographer. We get pulled to shiny things quite quickly. This has no negative effect on your session, but we may pause so that I can take a picture of the frog camoflaging itself with a leaf on its back.

So we met at dusk at the old Post Hospital and finished up at the old garage filled with murals. She killed her session last night, and I am so happy she let me play with my lighting.

I met Eli and his family out on one of the gorgeous fall days we’ve been having here and got to play around on the property. Old trees, a private pond, and lots of gorgeous nature. Ryan | Union Class of 2027 I’ve been slacking on Ryan | Union Class of 2027 I’ve been slacking on all of the sessions I’ve been capturing lately! We are in the middle of senior season, and I am having a blast capturing all the different young adults I work with. While I work a lot with the art crowd, I also love athletes. I played softball from preschool through high school and love the game! Ryan even showed me some of his off-the-field personality. Also, Union has some gorgeous trees by the fields that are just now showing off their gorgeous colors. Last week was light in clients as the kids decided to bring COVID home from their workplaces. We were spared, but I definitely did not want to spread anything if I could avoid it. I am booked through this weekend, but I still have a few spots left in the second half of October if you are looking to schedule your teen’s senior pictures while the fall colors are starting to show.

It was the absolute sweetest setting for an afternoon wandering through the woods with Ainsley! Senior year is a HUGE milestone, how are you being captured?
If you approach an imposing stone wall at the edge If you approach an imposing stone wall at the edge of Whipple Creek Park, there’s really only one reasonable thing to do: channel your best outrageous French accent and demand to know what business anyone has here. When Logan mentioned hearing about an old stone structure on the Whipple Creek map, our quest was set. We headed straight for the reconstructed mill on the south side of the trails to celebrate his senior milestone—and it turned into an absolute adventure. Between climbing around the stone foundation, winding through the sunlit woods, and briefly wondering if Dad had been spirited away when he vanished down the trail, Logan brought fantastic humor to the entire afternoon. Naturally, the battlements called for a full reenactment—taunting the woods and declaring, "Your mother was a hamster, and your father smelt of elderberries!" Logan, celebrating your senior year with your family was legendary. Now, go forth and conquer what’s next!
Some people go leaf peeping, we go mushroom peepin Some people go leaf peeping, we go mushroom peeping. Our secret spots are shut down to rebuild some roads from the High Lava Fire. So we used this gorgeous day to find some spots for when the Chantelle hit. Lower in elevation, so we only found one Chantelle, but did come home with a giant chicken of the woods. Our “date days” are actually adventure days, and I wouldn't change it for anything. I love dragging my husband out into the middle of nowhere. I let him drive the Jeep today and laughed everytime he slower way down for a pothole and watched him try I be gentle with my car I see how fast I can take those roads at.

Her Mom, Aunt, and I also got a private concert in front of the water bursting through the dam and creating the waterfall. Senior season is in full swing, and I am so excited to create images like these so that teens and their loved ones can remember them exactly as they are at this stage in their life. Bringing along her skates, playing around the Academy, and walking along the waterfront are always fun ways to capture your senior's light. Amanda and Jonah’s engagement session in the Columbia Gorge felt like the start of a classic story. We ducked under heavy branches in a historic apple orchard, skipped along the Columbia, and laughed as the wind rolled off the towering hills above. I got to capture their engagement session while the sun was setting last night, and it was magical. Can't wait for their wedding. Ready to start your own adventure? Let’s chase the light together.

It's that time of year where we are all guessing w It's that time of year where we are all guessing what the weather will do. But here in the PNW, we'll have a wedding no matter what! Mia and Tyler did just that on Saturday! With a 7 pm ceremony, we dodged most of the shifty weather, with just some sprinkles at the reception. But we also got some pink skies as we wrapped up the ceremony. These two threw a PARTY in their parent's backyard with their friends, family, and of course, the neighbors. Because who is going to file a noise complaint when everyone is there?

Missy Fant Photography will no longer post identifiable images of children on this photography page. Signed release or not. I cannot, in good conscience, continue putting identifiable images of children online while our legal system is making decisions that leave me deeply disturbed about where the line of protection is being drawn. I strongly condemn the 7th Circuit Court of Appeals’ ruling regarding the private possession of AI-generated CSAM depicting fictional children. Whatever legal arguments may surround this case, I find the idea that material depicting the sexual abuse of children can receive constitutional protection absolutely horrifying. We should be moving toward stronger protections for children — not weaker ones. AI has created dangers that were unimaginable just a few years ago. Images of real children can be manipulated, altered, and exploited in ways that families never intended or consented to. A signed release does not change my responsibility to think beyond the piece of paper. So I am choosing to do what I can. I will not wait for another law, another ruling, or another tragedy to tell me that I should have done more. Over the next week, I will be working on cleaning up my photography pages and removing identifiable images of children that have previously been posted. This is bigger than photography. This is bigger than business. This is about protecting children. I will always try to live on the correct side of history, even when doing so is difficult, inconvenient, or costly. My clients trust me with their memories. Children deserve my protection. And their safety will ALWAYS come before my business. — Missy Fant Photography

Missy made my daughter’s senior photo shoot a truly joyful experience. She’s not only an exceptionally talented photographer but also has a gift for drawing out genuine smiles, even from the most nervous subjects. My daughter is incredibly camera shy and was worried she’d look “awkward,” but from the moment we met Missy, she was at ease. I’m so glad we chose the package with all the digital images—Missy captured so many stunning shots, I couldn’t have chosen just a few. I can’t thank her enough for making the process fun and beautifully capturing such a pivotal moment in my daughter’s life.

Missy Fant took beautiful photos of my child. She was wonderful to work with, friendly, and fun. She suggested delightfully photogenic spots around Vancouver, WA. I highly recommend her.
