A Country Wedding in North Plains, OR | Dan and Dani

Dani and Dan had a sweet country wedding on their property out in North Plains, OR. It was mid-July, so of course, the sun was bright, but the skies were gorgeous.

When we arrived, I headed down the road to a family members house to meet her and her bridesmaids while Bill met up with the boys at their home. Their little boy was with Dani “helping” her get ready.

Right before we headed out for her and Dan’s first look, we got Dani’s Dad in for a sweet first look.

After the bride and groom were all ready, we loaded into the trucks and drove over to the neighbor’s house. They had this fantastic stone bridge in the middle of their field. A perfect spot for a sweet first look.

Back at the house, we hid away so that all the arriving guests wouldn’t sneak a peek at the bride. It also gave us a quick break from the heat. Thank goodness for fans!

For the ceremony, they had this amazing horse and carriage come over and bring the bridal party down.

Of course, being a parent myself, I thought that one of the sweetest moments was when their little boy had a meltdown before coming down the aisle as a ring bearer. Dan left his spot up front and walked his little boy down the aisle.

Their sweet vows were followed by mixing of sand and of course, the rings and a kiss!

After the ceremony, we snuck the bride and groom off for some of their formal portraits with their family, wedding party, and of course that horse and carriage again.

And look at the gorgeous rings!

After dinner, the two newlyweds had their first dance with each other, followed by Dani dancing with her father and Dan dancing with his mom.  There was no cake smashing at this wedding, they were nice to each other, but Dan did have a unique spin on the garter toss. After he had some fun getting the garter from Dani (and she stole his hat), he wrapped it around a football and then tossed it. It goes so much farther, and the boys seemed to have too much fun trying to run and tackle each other for it.

As the evening was winding down, Bill and I saw the amazing sunset taking place and their field of chamomile. It seemed like the perfect place for some gorgeous sunset portraits. We also incorporated their barn in some of them.

And we couldn’t end the night without getting a fun family shot.
