Haley and Jon’s Fall Wedding at Cornelius Pass Roadhouse

Portland Photographer

Sometimes electronic mapping systems aren’t very helpful. I may of gotten a little lost finding the hotel, BUT my assistant Ellie and circled around the shopping center a few times before we spotted the buildings hiding behind where Haley and her family were getting ready

One of the first things we do when we arrive, is steal all of the accessories so that they can get their closeup before they are worn.

After we assure that they have gotten their due, we snuck back in to capture Haley getting ready. I loved the lace details of her dress.

After donning the dress, Ellie and I hopped back into the car and jetted up to the Cornelius Pass Roadhouse to get a sneak peek at the decor and Jon hanging out with his groomsmen.

Inside the octagonal barn, the tables and details were all setup.

Outside, the ceremony was ready to start. It is the fall here in the Pacific Northwest, so there was a tent up just in case.

And then came the bride.

The ceremony was super sweet and included a sand mixing.

After the kiss, we went straight to one of the barns to get all of the family in on the pictures. McMenamin’s really works to give us some great backdrops. All their venues are amazing to work at.

And the scenery, a PERFECT backdrop with the setting sun peeking through the trees.

After this quick break, we had to gather the wedding party back up as they do offer great food and drink here. All of them were ready to party, so we decided to have some fun with it.

Dinner time means that I steal the rings while the bride and groom get to enjoy their meal and all of their guests.

I love the old barn here, the history, the colors, just the overall feel of it all. Add in some twinkle lights and you have a great atmosphere for some toasts and dancing!

As the light outside drops, you know what that means, I break out some of my magic. The long arbor along the walkways is one of my favorites spots to capture wedding portraits here.

We also wandered around a tad bit and found some hidden spots that were perfect for these two to just stop and enjoy the moment.

Back in the barn the dance floor was getting crazy! There were times where I was surrounded and couldn’t get out!

At the end of the night, the two stopped over by the cake table to get some more sugar to keep going on the dance floor.

Congratulations to Haley and Jon and thank you so much for choosing me to capture your day!
