Portland, Oregon, is renowned for its picturesque landscapes and vibrant culture. It is an ideal destination for couples seeking a unique and unforgettable wedding experience. Recently, the Troutdale House hosted the beautiful union of brides Sarah and Stacey, creating cherished memories for the team and their guests.
Sarah and Stacey have been featured on my blog with their engagement session and small ceremony during COVID-19. But, they wanted a night to celebrate their union before their friends.
Before they started getting ready, I caught them over in the little secret garden having a moment to themselves. I’ve never seen them not smiling or having fun.
The Troutdale House: A Charming Venue
Situated amidst the scenic beauty of the Columbia River Gorge, The Troutdale House offers a romantic backdrop for weddings. Its historic charm and natural beauty make it a sought-after location for couples looking to tie the knot in Oregon.
Nestled in old town Troutdale, there are several options for indoor or outdoor weddings, as we all know, the Pacific Northwest is notorious for throwing wrenches in everyone’s plan for weather here.
Sarah and Stacey: A Love Story to Remember
The love story between Sarah and Stacey is one of the books. Finding love on the roller derby track! The couple exchanged vows in a ceremony that reflected their unique bond, including a beautiful handfasting ceremony by their friend Tawny.
Getting ready, there were lots of laughs and plenty of love in both parties.
The First Look.
I like to tell couples that seem nervous that a first look is a great way to let some of the pressure off.
Having private moments to yourselves and celebrating each other lets you breathe calmly and relax during the ceremony.
We brought the wedding party and the family to the garden area to get the portraits done before the ceremony. Because we all know, everyone wants to get to the party as soon as possible!
Their dear friend Tawny created a specially tailored hand-fasting ceremony with so many wonderful, personal moments.
