Chris and Mark were not only getting their Master’s degrees in Apiary science but also getting married! Talk about crossing off two of life’s biggest moments simultaneously.
Their University was in California, but they are from Portland, so bringing their nuptials up here was a no-brainer, especially when they had friends and family to help out.

The grooms arrived a little before the ceremony so we could take in the sights at the overlook that gave great views of Portland, OR, and the surrounding areas. But even though it was August, we had just enough cloud cover to keep Mount Hood and Mount St Helens from sight.
Mark and Chris stood in the middle of all that wild beauty, trading promises that were equal parts heartfelt and real. Nature did its thing, the crowd went quiet, and when they kissed—it wasn’t just romantic, it was powerful. Just like that, they kicked off their forever, wrapped in love and some seriously stunning views.
Back on the rooftop of Departure, friends and family toasted to the couple and celebrated with their custom cocktails. Check out the monogrammed ice!
Since the couple was bee scientists, they made custom honey bears from their hives to thank everyone who came.
Cheers to Mark and Chris, and we wish them all the happiness this life offers.
